Questbound: Dreams of a Bygone Past

[About the Game] Current Version: 0.1.6

So I began a new project at the end of August of this year (2023) that follows after the events of Questbound. It's titled as Questbound: Dreams of a Bygone Past. 

This game has to do with Levi (name subject to the player's change) who one day goes in search of their father who is out one day looking for crystals in a cave to the south-east of where they live. 

So Levi heads off in that direction hoping to find his father but when he does he sees him in confrontation with an orc who he mistakes as an enemy; this orc is more of a pacifist. Having been unsuccessful in finding the crystals, Levi's father heads back home having given up. Levi, however, is determined to find what his father could not. Little does he know of the consequences that come with tampering with the crystals which will have an affect on him and their entire world. 

[The Demo]

The demo should take about 30 minutes to complete. The player can explore the overworld and interact with a number of NPCs that have been placed throughout the game world. As this is only a demo, there will be numerous changes that are expected to come from the full release of the game in the coming months.   I plan to have a demo of the game released soon sometime this week hopefully. 

[The Project]

This project is in active development. I hope to have the game released sometime next year if not after that although I'm unsure how long it will take me to finish. Currently, there are more than twenty maps done.  As this will be the third game in the Questbound series, there will be references to the past games and their characters. For instance, Levi has dreams of Damon, Riley, and Sierra from the first Questbound, but what could these dreams mean for him?  Compared to the last two games, I intended for this one to be much more expansive than them.  As well, when it comes to things to do there will be meaningful sidequests that will reward the player for choosing to help an NPC. In the demo, for instance, one sidequest is available after playing for some time in which an alchemy pot is granted to the player.
